Brewers thoughts

The sun is finally shining, or just about anyway, and here at Panther HQ we have many more things to celebrate aswell!
Having passed our two year anniversary just six months ago, it has been wonderful to see the great feedback that we have had about our beers and the lengths people have gone to for a trip to our brewery shop. All the hard work has paid off, and we are proud to announce that we received the gold award in the ‘Best Real Ale In A Bottle Competition 2012’ for our Golden Panther. This was in the Golden Ale category as voted for and presented by CAMRA. This was a great achievement for us, and we are delighted to receive the top award, alongside the runner up prize for our Black Panther in the Porter/Stout category of the competition.
With the run up to the annual CAMRA AGM in full swing, it’s full steam ahead in many regional and national breweries. This year it is being hosted in Norwich, at St Andrew’s & Blackfriars’ Halls, on the April the 19th to 21st and is one for the diaries as it is set to be an excellent weekend. We will be in attendance with a range of our beers including our latest asset to the collection, our Panther Cub. This is a beautiful amber ale with floral and grapefruit notes. The beer has been brewed with an abv of just 2.5%. But don’t be fooled, we have brewed it to hold a full flavour and body and still contains our Panther bite. On blind tastings none have recognised it as a low alcohol beer!
On the Friday evening of the AGM we will also be hosting a tour of our brewery. We are excited to have many devoted CAMRA members come to taste our beers, and see how we do things here at Panther on the site of the oldest brewery still in use in Norfolk.
Lastly, we are still selling our ale regularly at farmers markets. Hope to see you at these – follow us on facebook.com/pantherbrewery and or twitter.com/pantherbrewery to see where we are!
