As a business we believe in supporting good community causes and this year we have brewed a special ale “Kett’s Oak” a 6% barley wine style for the Norfolk SEN network.  This charity does a lot of good work in assisting parents of children with special educational needs through the changes in education law. This is to ensure that the education is right for their child.  We were very pleased to be asked by the Norwich City of Ale organisers in April to brew this Kett’s Oak barley wine beer with a local brewery, Poppyland (based in Cromer).  David and I came up with the recipe, we brewed it together and both of us are very pleased with the outcome.  It has been selling well and all the 10 casks have been sold.  50p per pint will also go the charity. We used our automated bottling line and produced many bottles; each one has a unique number. 986 number bottles were produced and £1.50 for each bottle sold will go directly to the charity.
