NEW BEER NEWS!!!

 We recently launched a competition to name our next new beer, which will be a collaboration between ourselves and our friends at Humpty Dumpty. We have previously joined up with them on a beer which we named PHD, which you may remember supping in a local bar!

The beer will be our take on a New England IPA or NEIPA as they are known in beery circles! This beer will be a 4.4% New English IPA, which will use English hops rather than the American hops usually associated with this beer style. It will be a hazy pale ale packed with juicy tropical flavours!

First of all, thank you to everyone who sent in a suggestion, some were really clever and some we wondered if the sender had been on the beer already!!! It was a tough choice, but following much deliberation from the two breweries we have plumped for CATAWALL!

We just think that the name is really clever and combines both the Panther cat and the association of Humpty Dumpty with the infamous wall.

The winner was Dave Elliott from Wymondham, who is a keen supporter of the brewery. I wanted to say regular customer but I thought that might suggest Dave loves beer too much! Anyway, when Dave was phoned with the good news, I couldn’t help but think that the name of the beer was even more apt as Dave was bordering on catawauling down the phone in excitement!!! Dave will be receiving a free case of the Catawall within the next few weeks, much to his delight!!!

Keep an eye (and an ear) out in the next few weeks….for a CATAWALL!!!
